MaryJane Anderson

  MaryJane Anderson, 97 passed away peacefully on Saturday December 16, 2023, at Hackettstown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey.  She was surrounded by her family.  MaryJane worked for Western Printing for over 20 years until the company relocated.  She then became employed with the Poughkeepsie Journal and worked another 10 years.  She unselfishly dedicated her life to caregiving for her mother and father.  She loved family get togethers and would laugh and reminisce about her father’s garden, which was legendary and outstanding.  The holidays were always a joyous occasion.  MaryJane was the matriarch of the family; she was grace and class personified.  Your love and kindness will live in our hearts forever.

  MaryJane is survived by her niece/daughter Kelly Sprow; nieces Rosalind Tyler, great niece Kema Tyler and Amanda Shepherd; nephew Gregory Shepherd and great nephew Gregory B. Shepherd and many nieces, nephews, and cousins along with an extended family.  Besides her parents Hattie and Brack Anderson Sr. she was predeceased by her nine siblings: Dorothy Tyler, Hilda Towler, Gerldine Allen, Nola Smith, Vivian Roberts, Rebecca Johnson, Robert Earl Anderson, Brack Anderson Jr., and Donald Anderson.
