Roxanne Marie Pendleton (White) age:66 passed away Thursday June 1st, 2023 in her home in Poughkeepsie, New York. Roxanne was born June 28th, 1956 in Carmel, New York to her parents Sewell Arthur White Sr. And Ella Jane White (Miller). She finished school and married Victor James Pendleton in 1976. They had 3 children and moved to Westbrook Maine. Roxanne and Victor divorced in 1983 and she moved to Portland Maine and worked in several hotels as a housekeeper. In 1986, Roxanne and her children returned to Poughkeepsie New York. Roxanne continued working as a housekeeper in a nursing home. Later on she became a customer service worker for KFC for many years before retirement.
Roxanne loved to read, draw, and sing. She loved going to church and listening to country music. She enjoyed going to county fairs and loved her extensive collection of jewelry. Her favorite thing in the world was to spend time with her family. As she would say... Her grandchildren were her light in this crazy world. She will be missed and loved by many family and friends.
Roxanne is survived by her children Laura Cavender Pendleton, and her wife Corlyn, of Rumford, Maine. Eric Pendleton, and his wife Jennifer, of Texas. Virginia Campbell (Pendleton), and her husband Michael, of Poughkeepsie, New York. Her grandchildren Allison, Destineé, Brianna, Austin, John, Michaela, Andrew, Ella Jane, Paige, Zackery, Gabriella, and Josh. Her great grandchildren Joshua, Elijah, Josiah, and Johnny. Her siblings Art White, and his wife Cathy, of North Carolina. Coreen Palmero (White), and her husband Jeff, of Tennessee. Roy White, and his wife Brenda L, of Alabama. Joe White, and his wife Brenda A, of New York. Tommy White, and his wife Theresa, of New York, and many nieces and nephews.
Roxanne was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Ella Jane White. Her ex-husband Victor James Pendleton, and her twin grandchildren Christopher and Christina.
In keeping with Roxanne's wishes, there will be no funeral services.
