Ruth J. Mesuda

  Ruth J. Mesuda 85, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Monday March 22, 2021 in Saugerties, NY.  Born on January 24, 1936 in Poughkeepsie, NY she was the daughter of the late Hans Redl and Laura Quick Redl.  She was a graduate of Arlington High School.  Ruth was a Real Estate Broker with Plum Realty in Hyde Park, NY.  On October 24, 1954 at Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park, she married Joseph M. Mesuda, who predeceased her in 2007.  She attended Church at Our Lady of the Rosary in Poughkeepsie, NY and enjoyed traveling and her Real Estate Career. 

  She is survived by her children; Joseph (Laura) Mesuda of Kingston, NY and Martin (Robin) Mesuda of Poughkeepsie, NY; her siblings Herbert (Sue) Redl of Pleasant Valley, Frank (Janet) Redl of Pleasant Valley, Richard (Chris) Redl of Poughkeepsie and Joan Anderson of Boynton Beach, Florida; grandchildren; Melissa (Matt) Shaw of Poughkeepsie, Michelle Mesuda of Poughkeepsie, Megan Mesuda (Sean Tompkins) of Pleasant Valley, Holly (Brian) Jensen of Bend Oregon and Ben Mesuda of Kinston; great grandchildren, Gianna and Anthony Shaw of Poughkeepsie, Jacob Jensen of Bend, Oregon, and Jaliyah Mesuda, Kingston.  Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her mother-in-law Vivian Mesuda, brothers, Carl and Donald Redl and granddaughter Melinda Mesuda. 

  The family wishes to thank the Ivy Lodge directors and staff as well as Hospice of Ulster County. 

  There will be no calling hours.  Graveside services at the family plot will be held at 11am on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at St. Peters Cemetery 171 Salt Point Turnpike in Poughkeepsie.
