Thomas Jayden Galimore-Rhodes

  On January 16, 2004, Thomas (Jayden) Galimore-Rhodes was blessed into this world by his loving parents Veronica Galimore and Thomas Rhodes.  On May 13, 2023, he was given back to his creator far too soon.

  Jayden was the most realist, loving, caring, funny yet very strong-minded young man who loved music.  To know him was to truly love him.  He was really royalty to his family.  To his mother he was her love child, to his father, a true soldier.  Jayden at 19 years old had a plan and was focused on what he wanted in life, stemming from a short roadblock that we all have crossed in life, but his family was so thankful that he saw that roadblock and curved it to a bigger and better blessing that was ahead. Jayden was a talented basketball player, dancer and full of enthusiasm to fulfill his life’s goals.  In the short time we had our angel, he made a difference to so many, he embraced his own impact that he was working on and towards.  Jayden was our angel and now he's our forever angel that will never be forgotten. There are not enough great words to describe the love we have for “Himms” and will not be a single day that we won’t miss him more than life.  We will honor Jayden until we meet again.  We love you “Himms”

  Besides his parents Veronica Galimore and Thomas Rhodes, he is survived by his sisters; Veranique Hewitt, Madison and Rayne; brother Tamel Galimore Rhodes; nephew Jahleel Hewitt; maternal grandparents Pamela Galimore and James Randolph; aunts Tabitha Travis and Particia Galimore; cousins Calvin Jackson Jr., Royteisha Wright, Tayvon Galimore and Kyra Travis and a host of uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his uncle Roy A. Wright, God Mother and brothers Lashawn and Tykeem Catts; Paternal grandparents Sylvia D.Rhodes and Thomas R. Rhodes; aunt Lacher S. Rhodes; Thomas T. Rhodes; brother Tamel T. Galimore-Rhodes; sisters, Rayne C. Rhodes, Madison Wood; great uncle Alphonso Johnson; cousins, Antwan Mayo, Janae Kitson, Jason Grant, Michael Grant, Dashawn Grant, Kaden Grant Amir K. Alleyne-Kessler and Amari B. Alley Kessler.

  Visitation is Wednesday May 24, 2023, from 10an to 11an at Beulah Baptist Church, 92 Catherine Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12061.  A celebration of Life will begin at 11am.  Burial is private and at the convenience of the Family.
