William J. Kimbark, 75, went home to God on, December 31, 2014. Born on March, 11 1939, in Kingston, N.Y., he was the son of Harry and Mildred Holsipple Kimbark. Bill attended Wappingers Falls schools. William, (Bill) is survived by his wife; Virginia Kimbark, his son; William R. Kimbark of Clinton Corners N.Y., son; Keith and wife Petra Kimbark of Neiderlindach Germany, son; Mark and wife Cheryl Kimbark of Derry N.H., and a daughter; Sue Beneway of Pleasant Valley N.Y., grandchildren include; Jennifer Iaszenszky, Byron LeTendre, Bryan LeTendre, Sarah Kimbark, Brodan Kimbark and Nolan Kimbark, and Devin Buckley. A great-grandson; Shawn Carmelitano. Other survivors include; a sister; Peggy Fasciani of Fl., a brother; Robert Kimbark of North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his sister; Dale Crans and brother; Russell Kimbark. Bill was self employed most of his life. In the early 1960's he ran an Atlantic Gas station and garage in Poughkeepsie. N.Y. Then he went to work for the Carpenters Union Local #323 out of Beacon. Due to lack of jobs, with the Union, Bill started Kimbark Construction Co. He worked throughout Dutchess County. His health caused early retirement in 1990. This still didn't keep Bill from working. He retired to his basement where he made wooden toys and crafts. He and his works were featured in Toys and Joys Magazine in 2010. He gave everyone he knew one of his “toys”. Bill was President of Pop Warner Football, and became President of the FDR Parents Association. For a short time he was the sports writer for the Townsman, covering Saturday football games.Bill loved to camp and travel with his family. We love you, now, forever and always your wife, children, grandchildren, and his beloved dogs; Beau & Prince. A Memorial Service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Hyde Park on Jan.6th, 2015 at 11 AM. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, RT 9G East Park.
